What Are The Chances

Duran Duran

Cifra: Principal (violão e guitarra)
Selo Cifra Club: esta cifra foi revisada para atender aos critérios oficiais da nossa Equipe de Qualidade.
tom: F#m
intro/chorus of their 1993 hit Ordinary World as well!

For the most part, the whole song appears to follow the chords below.

Verse Chords: F#m-A-C#m-F#m-B
Pre-Chorus Chords: D-E
Chorus Chords: A-E-B-F#m-D

I like to throw in a Bm in place of the B during John Frusciante’s solo during the middle 8 as well, although
I’m not sure if that’s because they actually use it or if it just sounds a bit better. The band also skips
over the F#m chord in the final line of the first chorus before heading straight to D.

[Verse 1]
F#m A C#m F#m B
Any other day and you might've gone walking by without a second look
F#m A C#m F#m B
Any other way, but I'm still mystified. I'm just trying to change my luck
F#m A C#m F#m B D
Staring out the world and waiting for the one. But the world won't look away
                      E
The world does not explain

[Chorus 1]
A E B F#m D
So what are the chances?
            A E B F#m D
We'll never know if we take it for granted
              A E B D
A diamond explodes. What are the chances?

F#m

[Verse 2]
F#m A C#m F#m B
Playing with your life, or is it destiny which sets you on a path?
F#m A C#m F#m B D
Is it out of choice that you're here next to me, or just the aftermath
   E
Of moments as they pass?

[Chorus 2]
A E B F#m D
So what are the chances?
            A E B F#m D
We'll never know if we take it for granted
             A E B
A diamond explodes. What are the chances?
F#m D A E B F#m D
We are lost in the flow and looking for answers, oh...

[Middle 8]
A E B F#m D

A E B F#m D

A E B F#m D
Oh oh oh oh... oh oh oh… oh oh oh
A E B F#m D
Oh oh oh oh... oh oh oh… oh oh oh

[Chorus 3]
A E B F#m D
So what are the chances?
            A E B F#m D
We'll never know if we take it for granted
             A E B
A diamond explodes. What are the chances?
F#m D A E B F#m D
We are lost in the flow and looking for answers, oh...
